Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati-Mason, Oh

Our stay was excellent as soon as you walk in there is someone there to greet you. Lobby was very clean. Our room was ready for our stay and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The air conditioner cooled the room very well. The location was great, many restaurants nearby to choose from. We had no complaints on noise level. We enjoyed the swimming pool, it was a nice to have the extra towels there for when we got out. We didn’t have to worry about bringing towels. If you’re looking for a clean friendly place to stay, this is a good choice.

The hotel was nice for a short stay with my family. Pros: there was one lady in particular that worked at the front desk on Friday evening and Saturday that was very friendly from the moment we checked in. Honestly her positive attitude contributed to our lack of complaints during our stay. The free daily breakfast was decent. There’s a nice variety and you can’t beat free (well it might’ve been included in the cost because I’m not sure what we really paid for) and one less meal to plan for my family. The hotel itself has nice character and is beautiful to the eye initially. The room that we were in was very spacious which was a plus! We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but from what I could see it looked nice. Cons - I believe this is becoming an issue with most hotels possibly due to staffing shortages but the cleanliness of the hotel and the room especially, lacked. Having an infant with us brought this to light. He kept bringing us things that we know for sure we didn’t bring into the room, like butter packets, toothpick/floss sticks and an abundance of hair that didn’t belong to us. And the carpet could certainly use a deep clean. The bathroom toiletries were very basic. The fridge left our food warm, I did notify the person at the front desk when we checked out but she didn’t seem to concerned. We couldn’t get lake check out (but I know that’s never guaranteed, it’s just the first time it’s happened to us lol) Overall it was a decent stay. I think we paid more for Location and hotel brand but we survived.

Came for the tennis tournament; location is good, venue overall is adequate. Pros: our room was large and very clean, as we've come to expect of Hampton Inns. Free breakfast is decent but fewer options/choices than we've seen elsewhere. Cons: Linens could use a refresh - some gray and tattered. Bed not firm enough. Minus one star for lack of recycling (the desk attendant even said "it's our policy not to recycle" - !) unacceptable.

This Hampton Inn was wonderful when it first opened. Now it is run by drill seargants who will not give you extra towels or sheets. It has so much potential to be a really good place to stay. The comforter was dirty, towels were ragged and room could have used a really good deep clean. Breakfast items are more sparse than other Hampton Inns we frequent. But mainly it is the hateful treatment from weekday afternoon desk personnel that is unacceptable. For the price, if I need an extra flat sheet or an extra towel I should be able to get one. Friday evening desk person was wonderful as was another personable employee. But the afternoon desk person is just awful. We have encountered him many times and it never gets better. Hampton Inn, DO BETTER!!

Checked in early via the Hilton app and thought I was squared away, but still had to complete check-in up arrival. Not a big deal at all though. The gentleman working the desk was very nice. We went up to our room and the neither of the keys would work. I went back to the front desk and due to the employee being the only one working, I had to wait for him to assist me. I explained that our keys didn't work. He sent me back to the room to wait for him. Turned out the batteries needed changed for the door. This wasn't an issue, but the issue that followed was frustrating. Keys still wouldn't work and the only way to get one to program was a "third party app" which meant we only got one key and the digital key in the Hilton app wouldn't work either. Tried to access side doors with key and they would not work. These doors included the exterior door to the pool and one of the side doors closest to where we would park. This was frustrating as it meant having to walk through the main entrance each time. Hotel was nice, but the breakfast area left room to be desired. Waffles were good each day. Juice machine would run out and the oatmeal was not edible as it was more water than oat. Pool area was decent as our kids had fun. Staff was polite. Close to a lot of places which is helpful if you need something to eat. Also very close to King's Island. Would consider staying here again, but would probably look elsewhere first.

We stayed in a 2-queen studio. The room was large, with 2 queen beds, a desk and a sofa. The bathroom has two areas: sink and shower/toilet with a door between them. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed sheets were really nice. Four pillows per bed. Breakfast was average but I appreciate that it was available until 10am on a weekday. The eggs and waffles were tastier than most.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a decent stay. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Shout out to the front desk who helped get us something printed and to the kitchen staff who were always smiling and helping everyone. We used the pool and gym a lot so I am glad we had those amenities. Breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn breakfast. I wish it had more gluten free options but that is feedback for all Hilton hotels. Room was clean and comfortable. It did have a low musty smell but not terrible. I would definitely stay here again.

The good: Location was good. Front staff were good. It was pretty quiet considering how packed it was. The OK, breakfast, lack of coffee for a while. The bad. The room was pure BO. Had to go down and get fabreeze from front desk. Mold/mildew all over the shower. Had to go get extra towels and 2asnt sure I was going to get 2 to give us the 4 we needed.

Terrible stay. Our tub did not drain, we were pushed out of the sitting area by staff at the front desk so that they could vacuum, and they would not give us extra towels (only provided two towels for a family of four staying in the room). I would not recommend this location as they are NOT customer centered.
